Faith Formation Program – Overview
Mission
Our Children’s Faith Formation Program aims to complement and supplement a Catholic parent’s responsibility to lead, teach, and raise their children in the faith. Parents are the primary educators of children. By examples of Sunday Mass attendance, prayer, receiving and living the Sacraments, reading scripture and other spiritual works, attending Catholic faith presentations/joining a parish ministry, striving for a more personal relationship with the Lord, and performing works of mercy, our children will come to know and love the faith.
As a parish with volunteer catechists, we provide support and encouragement as you as a parent seek to fulfill this responsibility through Children’s Faith Formation classes (September – June).
St.Jude Syro Malabar Catholic Church offers Faith Formation classes from Pre-K to 12th Grade.

Guidelines
St. Jude Syro Malabar church abides by the rules and guidelines provided by the St.Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago, office for the Protection of Children and Youth towards maintaining the onsite and the Social Media policies to honor the privacy of others, taking responsibility, keeping boundaries, protecting privacy of children, and hence achieve the goal of effective Faith Formation.

Please check the calendar frequently as schedule adjustments will be made as needed.
Class cancellations will be confirmed by 9am on Sunday if there are weather related closures or other events that cause classes to be canceled. Registered families will receive an email or text message to the email and phone numbers used during registration for Faith Formation classes.
